| May 18 Common Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana). This is my lawn up close: nary a blade of grass. I have to admit that I haven't paid much attention to the common strawberry over the years. They are just there. But, thanks to my attempts to get a record of blooming wild plants, I got down and dirty (and wet) with this guy. The 3/4" flower is beautiful...glad I looked. |  |
