May 15 The Painted Trillium (Trillium undulatum)
that are in our woods are generally smaller than the red. This one is

photograph was taken on May 18. It is a very small painted trillium.
Whereas the trilliums above have flowers about 2.5 inches wide,
this one is about an inch point to point. The plant was only about 6 inches tall. |  |
