May 18 I
saw my first blooming Bluets on May 13, but it was too dark in the
early morning to get a good photo with natural light. Bluets (Houstonia caerulea) are a low growing plant only about 5 or 6 inches in height. The flowers are about 1/2 inch wide.
These
are such pretty and airy flowers. They grow really well in my lawn.
Well, let's call it a lawn. It is the result of tossing out some grass
seed several years ago. It has been overcome by moss, wild
strawberries, violets, and bluets--and that is just fine with me. | |
