New VR-840 Pictures...part 3
(Feb 2006----)                                          Return to main VR-840 picture page

Below, a slightly blurry picture of TONGA-1, flying a Vt ANG plane with new tail art  Jan 19 2006
This was right after an announcement that some Vt ANG planes were being sent to Iraq.

Below, an unknown C-17 in a steep bank.  This one was flying across VR-840, not actually up it, so it was at higher altitude, ie approximately 5,000' , so the pictures aren't quite as sharp as normal.

BELOW, three planes from
Indianna ANG, Fort Wayne, first,  a plane in a JAWS-1 flight of 2/8/06 note tail art.

then a 2/16/06 VAPOR flight, and  a 2/21/06
ATOMIC-1 flight, including an Indianna plane, as Atomic, like JAWS is usually a Vt callsign    (notice tail art specific to Indianna in all three pictures)

Below, MADDOG-1, an F-15 from Otis ANGB, Mass   Feb 27 2006

Below,  KID-1  another Vt ANG F-16  84001384      March 2 2006

Below  DUDE-1 flight, 84001380  Vt ANG Burlington    March 3 2006

April 11 2006,  CAJUN flight of Mass ANG F-15s came up VR-840.

First, the first plane, making a sharp bank to come into the route while still about 5 miles away.

Then a view of this plane, as it passes overhead:

Notice above plane lit from above, dark below.

Shortly after this plane passed, another plane followed it up the route.  First view just before it was coming overhead.

Then, when directly overhead, this plane made a sharp bank to the right, notice how bottom of plane is lit on this view as it starts to bank.

Below, the plane is in a full 90 deg bank starting a 360, while only about 500' above ground level.

Below, the plane is still nearly 90 deg, going away from me.

Below, plane goes behind some trees.

Below, about a third of the way around the 360, it comes out from behind trees.

Below, more than half way around 360.  Note, seeing plane from the top, in these views.

Below, coming back, starting to level off.  Now plane is near the sun, so I'm not getting good lighting. Picture poor.

Below, plane goes by on other side of me.  Again, poor lighting.  Almost level now.
