Quarrying Granite and its Use. Presentation by Steve Swenson of Swenson's Granite Works. We'll learn about how granite was extracted and used in Sweden's homes and farms.
When: Thursday, August 20, 2015, 7:00 pm
Where: Sweden Town Meeting House
A Sweden Granite Quarry. As a follow up to Steve Swenson's talk on Thursday, we will visit an old abandoned quarry.
When: Saturday, August 22, 2015, 10:00 am
Where: Meet at the Sweden Town Meeting House to carpool to the site.
Rain Date: Sunday, August 23.
Some walking is involved.
